Unlimited prenatal visits.Unlimited phone and email support. I ask that you contact me after each prenatal visit with your maternity care provider so that you can keep me informed on your health. I am on-call for you for whenever labor begins. I will be with you from early labor till delivery.
I can assist you in deciding what kind of birth you would like and how to prepare for your birth. I will help you become informed about the course of labor, your options for birthing, and your rights.
I am by your side beginning in early labor. I will use my experience and knowledge to provide you with emotional and physical support. I can help you and your partner decide when to go to the hospital or call the midwife. I will guide you in techniques such as breathing, relaxation, positioning, visualization, counter pressure, heat or cold packs, and bath or showers.
Most importantly, I provide you with continuous presence and reassurance during your entire labor and birth. I don’t change shifts. I work for you, not for the hospital or caregiver. My concern is you and your birth experiance.
After your birth, I will stay with you for about two hours to make sure you are settled and to assist with initial breastfeeding. Within two weeks after the birth, we will have a postnatal visit to review the birth and share the pictures if you had me take any.
